Another One Bites The Dust

Lucky Film, a Chinese-based manufacturer of film products that a few folk in the US are familiar with, has shut down its color film line. China Daily today reported that "The company said it will authorize its general manager to clear assets related with color film products."

The company is a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology, but was losing significant amounts of money. China Daily reports that the profit margin on their film products was 6.66% (an ominous number in itself ;~).

Lucky made Lucky Color Film Super (100, 200, and 400 ISO). It continues to make a line of black and white papers that were briefly in vogue in the US, as well as other film and paper based materials.
